I'm happy to making soap and trying out new fragrances, especially our holiday scent, Frankincense and Myrhh. I only made a limited amount and we only have a dozen left. I was surprised by the popularity of it! So, get it before it's gone! ]]><![CDATA[Hooray!]]>Wed, 18 Aug 2010 19:56:02 -0800http://www.larkmartinsoaps.com/1/post/2010/08/hooray.html

<![CDATA[slowly....slowly...]]>Sun, 25 Jul 2010 20:10:21 -0800http://www.larkmartinsoaps.com/1/post/2010/07/slowlyslowly.htmlSoapmaking requires patience. Plenty of patience. Typically, I'm not the most patient person in the world, I have to remind myself to slow down. After a batch of soap is made, it cures for at least 4 weeks. 4 weeks of waiting patiently to let those bars of soap out in the world. The shop is another test of patience. It will open, I just don't know the exact day! So, here is a reminder to myself that it will happen at the right time and let the adventure play out. Because what an adventure it will be!]]><![CDATA[340 Ouachita Ave]]>Thu, 15 Jul 2010 19:14:07 -0800http://www.larkmartinsoaps.com/1/post/2010/07/340-ouachita-ave.htmlWe are opening a retail store! I love trying out new things and especially happy when they are successful. Lemon Poppy and Euphoria are turning out to be very popular! I'll be experimenting with organic dried rosemary soon and I'm hoping it will prove itself to be popular as well. What should I make...? ]]><![CDATA[Birthday Suit coming soon!]]>Sun, 16 May 2010 19:00:55 -0800http://www.larkmartinsoaps.com/1/post/2010/05/birthday-suit-coming-soon.htmlPicture
naked, bare, plain, nada, devoid, free from fragrance, basic, the mother of all soaps, simple, unscented... shall I go on? We've got a new soap coming up for all of our customers that like a fragrance-free soap. Although, it is unscented, it has this wonderful nutty warm scent. I think it will be a good one! Look for it on June 14th!

<![CDATA[Another batch of soap for February]]>Thu, 25 Feb 2010 19:16:03 -0800http://www.larkmartinsoaps.com/1/post/2010/02/another-batch-of-soap-for-february.htmlLemongrass Citrus Scrub is our all-time best seller! I seem to always sell out, right when everyone runs out of soap. So, I'm making a point to make more lemongrass citrus scrub! I have made a goal to create 1,000 lbs of soap in 2010. That is about 7 batches of soap a month. I only have a few days left in February to meet my goal! I was all set to make soap tonight, but I ran out of my secret weapon, double stick tape! ]]><![CDATA[Checking in]]>Mon, 15 Feb 2010 19:35:05 -0800http://www.larkmartinsoaps.com/1/post/2010/02/checking-in.html We've been busy around here lately. Making soap, taking care of family, working, watching the snow, brainstorming, watching more snow... I managed to make some soap yesterday. I made this particular kind last year for my furry friends, to help repel fleas. Turns out it was more popular with the humans than the dogs! I called it "Clean." It had essential oils of peppermint, clary sage, tea tree, spearmint, and ecualyptus. I love this scent, it has a minty top note, followed by a more earthy, grounding clary sage. It is one of my favorites, but I have alot of favorites!
